What to do in case of an accident

Being in an auto accident is often scary and hopefully rarely experienced. Assuming that everyone is alright, it is important to collect certain information from the scene of the accident.

1. Name, address, and phone number of each driver, passenger and witness.
2. Driver’s license number, vehicle description and license plate numbers.
3. Vehicle damage and accident scene photos.
4. Name of Insurance company and policy number for each vehicle.
5. Report the accident to the proper authorities.
6. Do not admit fault —an investigation may later reveal you were not responsible for the accident.

By collecting the above information you can make recovering from your accident a lot easier. At the Greco Insurance Agency we suggest that our clients call us directly with any questions or concerns they should have regarding accidents and claims. If you have questions regarding your current Insurance policies please feel free to call us at 816-228-2886.
